The Bee delivery box stands out with its visually integrated shape, resembling the abdomen of a bee. The distinct color and elegant lightbox on top of the box make the motorcycle easily distinguishable from other vehicles, even in the dark. Functionality was a key consideration in the design, ensuring that the box is ergonomically perfect and offers generous trunk space that is easily accessible.
The Bee delivery box is made using a combination of fiberglass and polyester resin, with a self-colored Epoxy gelcoat for the outer surface. The bracket is constructed from stainless steel, while the lightbox is made from acrylic sheet known as Plexiglass. These materials ensure durability and a sleek appearance.
With dimensions of 620mm width, 760mm depth, and 980mm height, the Bee delivery box provides ample space for packages of various sizes.
Operating the Bee delivery box is simple and efficient. The front side of the box serves as a backrest, while the back functions as the opening. While the delivery person rides the motorcycle, the box remains rigid and stable. The trunk lid opens upward, providing easy access to the contents inside. Additionally, the bracket of the box is designed to be easily removed, allowing the delivery person to access the fuel gas cap when needed.
The Bee delivery box project was initiated in October 2016 in Tehran, Iran, and was completed in February 2017. The final product was unveiled in March 2017, showcasing the innovative and functional design.
The Bee delivery box design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Vehicle, Mobility, and Transportation Design category in 2018. This prestigious award recognizes designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life and making the world a better place.
